Rowan Medical Center engaged the Rocky Mountain Institute and Point Energy Innovations with support from LeapStep to provide a strategic plan for healthcare system sustainability. A deep focus on energy efficiency and an ultimate goal of decarbonization and carbon neutrality started with an on-site existing MEP systems analysis led by LeapStep. The findings helped to inform the approach to enhancing performance for the medical center while minimizing energy consumption, carbon emissions, water and waste.
Spearheaded by PEI the report outlined a concise pathway to decarbonization through a series of measures over time that will also improve energy efficiency, air quality, comfort, productivity, patient care and employee retention.
