UCSF is developing a bold vision to revitalize its historic Parnassus Heights campus to sustain its excellence in research, education, and patient care. The master plan envisions future growth on the 107-acre campus to include the renovation of existing facilities and a new hospital.
LeapStep served on an integrated planning team led by Perkins&Will and developed sustainability guidelines and criteria as part of the master planning process. The intent is to ensure that future building design achieves the UC system-wide sustainability and carbon neutrality goals. These guidelines include criteria for biophilia, water conservation, health promoting environments (including material selection) energy reduction and carbon emission mitigation.
