Aggie Square will transform the UC Davis medical school campus to a vibrant innovation hub rooted in an interdisciplinary approach to education and research. The unique live/learn/work/play environment, designed by ZGF and planned by Perkins&Will, will house business and community-based programs with UC Davis innovation and research. The campus includes state-of-the-art research, laboratory and education facilities like The Alice Waters Institute for Edible Education.

LeapStep has served as the owner’s sustainability consultants and peer reviewers for the 8 acre, multi-building development since 2019. During pre-design we first defined a wide range of contractual sustainability performance goals and requirements for the project including the development of customized EUI targets for every building. Since the start of design we’ve conducted dozens of peer reviews on core and shell and TI design submissions across the eight building development.
