Location: Multiple

Client: Partners Health Care

Status: Complete

During the onset of a multi-year Ambulatory Care Initiative by Partners Healthcare focused on the construction of fifteen new facilities, LeapStep was retained to help ensure they all would be designed for net zero energy performance. We developed a customized Energy Performance Standards and provided a range of owner representative services including RFP development support and design team (architect / MEP engineer) selection.

The Energy Performance Standard will be used by the project team led by Gensler to achieve net zero performance while maintaining design fidelity and project budget. It provides direction through recommendations and strategies that are integrated within the planning, design and construction framework. This Standard is written from the position that for Partners, achieving the lowest energy use intensity (EUI) possible while meeting all functional and programmatic requirements is paramount.
