UC Davis Health is developing multiple new satellite locations including the South Placer campus and Folsom Medical site expansion. LeapStep worked with an integrated team led by Jacobs on the master plans for both locations and served as the Climate Pathway and sustainability advisors. We were responsible for co-developing sustainability guidelines consisting of guiding principles, goals, objectives, verification and strategies for future developers, designers, and operators.
The Sustainability Master Plan prioritizes sustainability measures early on; streamlining the design process for future design teams, maximizing opportunities to capitalize on efficiencies, and thereby saving costs. Throughout the multi-phase developments regulations, technologies, best practices, and habits will evolve, but this framework sets the minimum sustainability standards required while allowing the flexibility to further define how they are achieved.
